A space where neurodivergent brains are understood, supported, and celebrated.
For individuals, families, and organisations.
We aim to cultivate truly neuro-inclusive environments and engagement, with belonging at the foundation.
Neurodivergence refers to the natural variation in how human brains work and experience the world. This includes autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia, dyscalculia, sensory processing differences, and more, each bringing its own unique strengths and challenges.
Many individuals, families, and organisations arrive here after exhausting approaches that attempt to address "behaviours", rather than seeking to understand the need. These strategies can feel harmful, inconsistent and often out of sync with one's values.
At Neuro Niche, we do things very differently. You are welcome here.
"We value neurodiversity as an essential aspect of humanity that needs to be intentionally designed for, accommodated and embraced."
For schools, universities, workplaces and organisations.
Caregivers of children at any age, supporting individuals from ages 12 and up.
Rotating topics include: Special interests, navigating PDA (Pathological Demand Avoidance / Pervasive Drive for Autonomy), neurodivergence in adult women, executive function "brain hacking", and more.
We are committed to being neurodiversity-affirming, trauma-informed, culturally responsive, justice-centred, and anti-racist. We honour lived experience, remain critically aware of privilege, power, and systemic inequality, and welcoming of LGBTQIA+ communities. Everything we do is grounded in supporting authenticity, understanding context, and creating environments where people feel they can flourish.
Neuro Niche was founded by Emma, a passionate, late-diagnosed neurodivergent Occupational Therapist and mother of two. With experience supporting individuals and communities across the lifespan and global contexts, she brings both professional expertise and a deeply personal understanding to this work.
"When in Emma's presence, she has an incredible ability to support you to notice, feel and understand all children on their learning journey."Danielle, Challenge and Enrichment Coordinator
"Working with Emma has been a wonderful experience! I especially admire her neurodiversity-affirming, child-centred approach and how closely she works with families to create a supportive, strengths-based environment where children feel valued."Veronica, Speech and Language Therapist
"We are grateful for Emma's care over the last 4 years. She has been excellent at teaching my husband and me practical tools to use at home, and goes above and beyond to ensure that all my son's needs are seen. Most importantly, Emma has equipped us to support our son with self-regulation strategies that give him agency and confidence in managing his own sensory needs. We highly recommend Emma to any family seeking compassionate and expert care."Libby, parent
"Emma has been a great help to me on my journey of self-advocacy."Lia, young adult
